Head to downtown Cabo San Lucas on October 18th to join in Fiesta de Cabo San Lucas, the celebration of the patron saint of Cabo. Festivities include a parade that passes through downtown’s closed streets. There are depictions of the patron, dances, music, and food. Lots of food! Street vendors set up around the area and serve local cuisine as well as international treats. The vendors and performances change every year which make it an enjoyable and unique experience each time. Best of all, there is no admission fee.

St. James the Apostle is credited with bringing the Catholic religion to Mexico and is represented as a magical man riding a white horse. James, the patron saint of Spain (where he is said to be buried), and his brother, John, were part of the Twelve disciples of Jesus.

In the lively destination of Cabo San Lucas, privacy is a coveted quality. This is the reason Cabo La Estancia was created. Right on Medano Beach on the tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, this enclave of privately owned luxury villas, condominiums and penthouses offers a delightful variety of accommodations in a sublime desert-meets-sea location. Run like a 5-star resort, the property boasts waterfalls, grottos, infinity pools with breathtaking views, and exceptional dining, including La Casona, serving Angus beef and seafood in a lovely terrace setting.
